Greetings.
Like someone else somewhere else I have just created my first blog. Yes, I'm late joining what you all call Web 2.0, but so what? Sue me, call me names, post horrible comments; I am stoical and at ease with myself.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS BLOG? I like music blogs but feel something is missing. See, I love the latest net friendly buzz bands as much as the next middle-aged geek, but I also have a wealth of passion, knowledge and enthusiasm about other music that I want to share. I want to educate you all and share with you songs you may never have heard, may have forgotten or just considered shit, until I persuade you otherwise.
My tastes are varied - Jennifer Warnes is playing at the moment - who you all think is middle of the road, bland and uninteresting - but next up might be Sparks, Public Enemy or Abba. Godspeed, Yo La Tengo and JAMC prove my indie credentials, Wham allow me to show I worship at the temple of pop, and my love of show tunes allows me to keep in touch with my gay side. Philip Glass is sometimes 'in da house', just next to AC/DC and if any of you have heard of the mighty Friends Again - well you and I need to talk and drink together.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Well, I might leak details of my real life if anything interesting happens, but the music should be enough for now.
